Joy & Zach – Nashville Engagement Photography

I decided to post these images on the 4th of July to honor Zach, a U.S. Marine, who is currently serving our country in Afghanistan. Jane and I shot Joy and Zach’s engagement session on a BLAZING hot day in June, while Zach was home for his two week R & R break.  He probably just wanted to relax this day, but we kept him busy for a couple of hours in the heat with “turn this way, look this way…stand here…hey Zach… would you mind holding a pig?”…and he didn’t complain ONCE! Not even when Joy broke out her powder and touched him up!  And he had a smile in every picture!  His grace in this situation when he probably had his mind and heart full of other things, made me see why Joy loves him very much.  Joy, my cousin’s daughter, epitomizes her name just as my much loved Aunt did, for whom she was named.  Joy is as sweet a person now as she was when she was 10 years old.  I can’t wait for Zach to be back, safe and sound, and to shoot their wedding next spring!
